Hey all,

There was no news last week from the fairways only the driveways locked inside an exclusive development in Windemere, FL. KK thinks that is where the news should stay. I thought about contacting Stevie, Tiger’s caddy, and find out the story but it is really none of my business. It’s a personal matter, nobody was seriously hurt, and Tiger’s mishap didn’t affect anyone but himself. Let’s just leave him alone.

Granted the National Encrier has already stirred the pot with some innuendo, but remember who has a hold of the spoon. Does anybody really believe the National Crier? Years ago, Jack and Arnie’s time, reporters were only concerned about what when on between the gallery ropes and O. B. stakes. If the bloggers, paparazzi, and news hounds would have had there way back then who knows what our heroes would have been like. I’m sure there were a few missteps back then that a few friendly reporters overlooked.

Now we’re out for blood and trying to bring our heroes down. Remember they are only human, like you and I, and have their marital squabbles, mishaps, and mistakes. Dragging it through the media accomplishes nothing and only pushes our heroes deeper behind the already existing security details at every tournament. We would like to reach out and touch our heroes but it seems like our intense scrutiny only alienates them.

Tiger should have come out with a brief statement a little sooner than he did; his secrecy only fueled the fire, but that was his prerogative and we should respect that. Legally he wasn’t required to make a statement, John Q. Public wouldn’t have too, why should he. Let’s let them rest, play golf, and settle his issues at home without the bright lights staring them in the face. The walls around his home should allow him a little more protection than tournament gallery ropes.

Hopefully we’ll see him this week at his tournament, facial scratches and all. It’s actually kind of nice having our heroes wear a blemish or two, it brings them closer to us humans.

Take care.

Mark

TEN TIGER WOODS JOKES

Didn’t take long.

One:
Tiger Woods is so rich that he owns lots of expensive cars. Now he has a hole in one.
Two:
What’s the difference between a car and a golf ball? Tiger can drive a ball 400 yards.
Three:
Tiger Woods wasn’t seriously injured in the crash, but he’s still below par.
Four:
What were Tiger Woods and his wife doing out at 2.30 in the morning? They went clubbing
Five:
Tiger Woods crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree. He couldn’t decide between a wood and an iron.
Six:
Perhaps Tiger should be using a driver?
Seven:
This is the first time Tiger’s ever failed to drive 300 yards
Eight:
Apparently, Tiger admitted this crash was the closest shave he’s ever had. So Gillette has dropped his contract.
Nine:
After a wayward drive, Tiger Woods found water before nestling behind a tree
Ten:
Apparently, the only person who can beat Tiger Woods with a golf club is his wife
