Click Here! Golf Swing Made Easy for Beginners!!!!!
Ten years ago at Doral Stevie was working for Raymond Floyd. Rumors were flying on telecaddy, “Fluff was on his way out, Tiger’s looking for a new caddy.” Caddies don’t solicite Tiger’s bag, he comes looking for you. Nobody knew if the chatter was true, but we’d all give our left one to work for Tiger. Steve Williams and Raymond had been together for quite awhile, and were doing quite well on the Senior Tour back then. Why would Tiger want a Senior Tour caddy?

So, they want to listen to us now. Up until recently, the last 4-5 years, the old axiom was still in place. Caddies were like small children, they should be seen and not heard, and seen as little as possible. Our mantra has always been “Show up, Keep Up, and Shut Up.” If we could remember, and abide by these three short adages our jobs were relatively safe; now they want to broadcast our thoughts and witticisms to the world.

Everybody told me to go to the Post Office, someone would help me with accomadations. My duffel bag was slung over my shoulder and I went searching for the bar. Usually, at every tournament site there is a caddy bar. You can find your buddies and pick their brain, what’s left of it, about a cheap motel, restaraunt, or general knowledge about the area. I wasn’t expecting this treatment, but it sure made my week easier.

My favorite afternoon on tour, bar none………hope you enjoy it also.
Some guys are just naturally nice guys. They don’t try anything special, they just go about being nice without forcing it down your throat. It’s just the way they are, I guess. Freddie “Boom-Boom” Couples is probably the statistical leader in this category. My first encounter with him was at a little bar in Orlando. I was visiting my brother in the mid-eighties; we were out for the evening; and in walked Freddie. It was just a little local neighborhood place and Fred was by himself. He ordered a Coke; joined us and chatted for awhile. When he left my brother said he’d be one of the next superstars so I began following his career.
